Welcome to “Grace: 101” a transformative journey into understanding and experiencing the depth of God’s grace in our lives. This course is designed to help you grasp the foundational truth of grace and its powerful impact on your relationship with God and others.
Week 1: Grace that Saves: We will begin our journey by examining the stark contrast between our former state of sin and the new life we receive through God’s grace. This week emphasizes that our salvation is entirely a gift from God, not something we can earn. As we delve into these verses, we’ll explore the profound implications of being saved by grace through faith and how this transforms our identity and purpose.
Week 2: Grace that Justifies: In the second week, we will examine the peace and hope we have through justification by faith. This week highlights the incredible love of God, demonstrated through the death of Christ while we were still sinners. We’ll examine how being justified by grace leads to a life of peace, rejoicing, and a deep sense of security in God’s unwavering love.
Week 3: Grace that Empowers: We will learn about the transformative power of grace that empowers us to live a new life. This week addresses the question of whether grace gives us a license to sin and provides a resounding answer: No! Instead, grace sets us free from the bondage of sin and enables us to live in righteousness. We’ll explore the practical ways grace empowers us to overcome sin and walk in the newness of life.
Week 4: Grace that Sanctifies In our final week, we will examine scripture that assures us that there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. This week highlights the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, leading us to live according to the Spirit rather than the flesh. We’ll delve into how grace not only saves and justifies us but also sanctifies us, transforming us into the image of Christ as we walk in the Spirit.
