What We Believe

OUR VISION:

We help you connect your faith to everyday life.

OUR MISSION:

Equipping leaders to SOAR in their faith, family, friendships, finances and fitness through a community where you feel connected and valued.

OUR SYMBOL:

THE EAGLES

There are two primary reasons we call ourselves Eagles Nest. First, eagles are used in the Bible to represent strength, courage and leadership. Eagles are mentioned in Exodus 19:4, Deuteronomy 32:11, Job 39:27, Psalm 103:5, and Isaiah 40:31, to name a few. At Eagles Nest, we want to help you develop your leadership potential.

THE NEST

Secondly, every eagle needs a nest. The Nest is the place where eagles are fed, encouraged, and inspired. That’s what we do. We feed you the word of God. We encourage you when times get tough, and we inspire you to do great things for God! If you’re looking for a church that will help you reach your potential, then look no further. Come visit us and get ready to soar!

OUR CORE: I AM EAGLE

Completeness, unity, soundness, purity. We possess a commitment to biblical truth and honesty, refusing to allow our character to be corrupted or compromised.

“May integrity and uprightness protect me because my hope is in you.” (Psalm 25:21)

We recognize the Bible as the inspired Word of God and the final authority in every aspect of our lives.

“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”  (Psalm 119:105)

We strive to honor God’s purpose for marriage and to live in harmony with our family and friends. We also strive to maintain the unity and purity of the Church.

“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”(Ephesians 4:3)

Superiority, pre-eminence. We strive to work as unto the Lord with the highest degree of professionalism, productivity and skill.

“Do you see people skilled in their work? They will work for kings, not for ordinary people.” (Proverbs 22:29)

Answerability, responsibility. We love, encourage and coach people as we do the work of ministry, each person taking responsibility for his/her words and actions.

“So in Christ we who are many form one body and each member belongs to all the others.” (Romans 12:5)

Liberality, unselfishness, openhanded. We bountifully share our time, talents, relationships and financial resources for the work of ministry, including ministering to the poor and disenfranchised.

“…Remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” (Acts 20:35)

We are intentional about passing on our knowledge, skills and opportunities to someone else, especially to the younger generation of believers.

“Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith.”(Hebrews 13:7)

We have positive, infectious and cheerful attitudes, while performing assigned tasks and responsibilities.

“…For the joy of the Lord is your strength.!”(Nehemiah 8:10b)

OUR BELIEFS:

We believe that the entire Bible, comprised of the Old and New Testaments, is the verbally inspired Word of God and that the Spirit of God moved upon human authors to write the very words of Scripture. The Bible is therefore inerrant and infallible in the original manuscripts and the final authority on all matters of faith and practice in every age.

We believe in one sovereign and self-existent God, omnipotent creator and sustainer of the universe, perfect in all His attributes eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and that these three are one God having precisely the same nature yet distinction in personhood and therefore equally worthy of worship and obedience.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ coequal with the Father became man without ceasing to be God having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin in order to reveal God, redeem sinful humanity, and rule over His kingdom. In his incarnation, He surrendered only the prerogatives of His divine nature yet not His divine essence and lived a sinless life in perfect obedience to the Father, and voluntarily atoned for the sins of the world through His substitutionary sacrifice and shed blood on the cross completely satisfying God’s righteous judgment against sin. We further believe that our justification is made certain by His bodily resurrection and subsequent ascension to the right hand of the Father where He as the sole mediator intercedes for those who trust in Him.

We believe that the Holy Spirit being co-equal with the Father and the Son, executes the will of the Father in the world, exalts the Lord Jesus, convicts the world of sin, and regenerates the believing sinner unto a new life. The Holy Spirit permanently indwells the believer upon salvation, and baptizes them into the body of Christ, and seals them for the day of redemption. The Holy Spirit equips the church through His sovereign administration of spiritual gifts for the perfecting of the saints and empowers the yielding believer to live a Godly lifestyle.

We believe that man was created by God in His image and likeness free of sin, with volition, rationality, and moral responsibility in order to have fellowship with God and accomplish His purpose in the world. In Adam’s voluntary disobedience to the will of God, man lost his innocence, incurred the penalty of spiritual and physical death and became subject to the wrath of God. Man being alienated became inherently corrupt and utterly incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through human effort apart from divine grace.

We believe that salvation is freely provided by God’s grace alone apart from any human effort or works and is accomplished solely by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ who bore our sins nullifying the curse of the law and satisfying the righteous judgment of God. Salvation is appropriated by faith alone in the atoning sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ which is completely sufficient to eternally reconcile the believing sinner to God.
