At Eagles Nest, we do not have a traditional Wednesday night worship service or bible study. Registration is free and the only associated cost is the materials for each class. Introducing friends or family to someone new can sometimes be stressful. Have you ever wondered how to start a conversation about Jesus? Some believe you have to be a Bible Scholar to do so, but that is far from the truth. In this course, you will learn a simple, relational approach to Starting the Conversation About Jesus. This course will use interactive role play and the great news of the Gospel to help students find the joy of Starting the Conversation About Jesus.
ENU 101 - El Llamado: Contando El Costo Que Tiene Seguir A Cristo / The Call: The Cost of Following Christ
This is an entry level class taught in Spanish only. More than a Bible Study on Identity, The Call is a guide for making disciples that emphasizes practice and mentoring for multi-sized groups, to take disciples on a journey to what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. The Call uses teaching, questions, conversations, exercises and individual studies to facilitate transformational discipleship.
Are you feeling a desire to Experience God at a new level of intimacy? In this course, you will go on a journey that will engage, enlighten, and empower you to start knowing and doing the will of God. In this semester, we will cover Experiencing God in Prayer, Circumstances, the Church, the Marketplace and many other themes that will result in a more intimate relationship with Him. This course is best taken with a solid, foundational understanding of your relationship with God through salvation in Jesus Christ.
What’s in a name? POWER if it is the name of Jesus! This course will introduce you to Jesus in ways you may have never seen Him before. Jesus is anticipated from the very beginning of the Bible and is mentioned many times up until He arrives on the scene in Bethlehem – yet He is never called Jesus in the Old Testament. In this course, you will learn the Old Testament and New Testament names that reflect the different aspects of His character. This course is best taken with a solid, foundational understanding of your relationship with God through salvation in Jesus Christ.
The Systematic Theology course continues this semester with a focus on the Person, Purpose, and Presence of the Holy Spirit. Jesus told the disciples that He would not leave them comfortless because He would send Another Comforter, the Holy Spirit. Students will not only learn about Him; they will also be able to recognize His movement in their lives. This course is best taken with a solid, foundational understanding of your relationship with God through salvation in Jesus Christ.
Few experiences bring more pain than divorce. Perhaps worse of all, divorce makes us believe that all that is meaningful and joyful has come to an end. Do not believe it. Whether you are in the earliest stages of divorce, are newly single again, are processing an earlier divorce, or know someone whose marriage is ending, New Life After Divorce offers encouragement and hope that this new life will be a good life – and the promise that healing, strength, purpose, and joy are around the corner.
Grief does not follow neatly outlined stages. When you are going through grief, you can sometimes wrestle with many emotions at the same time. The good news is that peace is possible, even amid heartache and pain. Moving Through Grief is a practical and straightforward, yet warm and compassionate class that will give students the tools to move through their grief and to know that they are not alone.
RISE Middle School Students will take a journey that will help them mature spiritually and practically. Age appropriate topics covered are: Understanding Your Identity in Christ, Mental Health / Thought Life / Self-Care, Pursuing God’s Plan for You, and Stewardship and Biblical Financial Management. Students will also receive a book to help build them up practically and spiritually.
RISE High School Students will take a journey that will help them mature spiritually and practically. Our focus will be on helping High School students begin transitioning from Adolescence to Your Adults. Topics covered are: Understanding Your Identity in Christ, Mental Health / Thought Life / Self-Care, Pursuing God’s Plan for You, and Stewardship and Biblical Financial Management. Students will also receive a book to help build them up practically and spiritually.
Are you interested in optimizing your business competencies? In this course, you will learn how to run a business by the Book – the Bible. Whether you are an aspiring entrepreneur or an established one – a new corporate leader or an accomplished one, this course will help lay the foundation of Doing Business God’s Way.
This class is for those who have a desire to sharpen up their finances and learn how to build wealth God’s way. Whether you have stumbled or are trying to reach the next level financial management, this course will educate and empower you.
Marriage is God’s idea and institution. Other than the union between God and His creation, Marriage is one of the most intimate relationships that God uses to bless us. Yet, life happens, and this institution comes under pressure. This course is designed to help married couples tune up their marriage, address issues of intimacy, discover how to weather storms, learn financial management, and how to trust again. The class will be taught in a very interactive and practical manner to equip students with the tools to strengthen their marriage. Lastly, in order to maintain efficientcy, our class is currently limited to the first 25 couples that register. Any couples above this number will be subject to a waiting list.
